Listen: Diplo Previews Hour Long World Cup Mix

Major Lazer chieftain Diplo has teased his exclusive hour long World Cup mix on Soundcloud ahead of it airing this Thursday at 9pm EST during Mistahjam’s BBC Radio 1 show.

Although only weighing in a light 1:45 preview its jam packed with new and old tracks with Diplo looking to focus on a representative beat from each country as its slips and slides between Gary Glitters “Rock Roll (Part 2)”, Major Lazers new one “Revolution” and what seems like a bootleg of Runes “Calabria” better known in Alex Gaudino’s representation via a sexy sexy " target="_blank">trumpet toting music video.

For a man like Diplo an hour is plenty of time for some quick mixing and a boatload of interesting tracks and more than likely a new unheard original or remix that he’s been working on in the studio.

The connect with the World Cup? Well, not only did he help unveil the new US world cup soccer kit with Spike Lee and sister-band HAIM but also put together a more well received dance anthem alongside Fatboy Slim, Like Mike and Dimitri Vegas.

Can’t wait to peep the tracklisting on this one!
