Coming hot off their Thursday night showdown at NYC’s no-photos-allowed Output, Disclosure have decided to rip Pharrell from the clutches of Buzzfeed headress apology notes and back into the positive limelight.  The brothers tastefully retouch the headgear adoring Neptune’s breakout single and hammer home the contrite message: he “was just frontin’.”  Pharrell’s sweet 2003 croon slides over the original melody – now kicked up a decade with a thumping bassline and jivey synth stabs.  Jay Z‘s final verse closes the letter with classic charismatic wax.  This isn’t just a re-work, it’s a relevant remix choice with an important element of Pharrell history.  Now it’s just up to the guys to drop it off in the mailbox.
