After successfully touring Australia this year with Future Music Festival and showing off some new material, the new Deadmau5 album finally dropped this week. While (1<2) stretches over two hours and displays both his downtempo melodic projects alongside his fist pumping euphoric festival beats, coming together in his most well-rounded studio offering yet. Within days the new album shot to the top of the iTunes proving even with his daily opinions that the Mau5 is still a favourite among danceheads.

So whats on hand for the die hards? Plastic, sweet, groovy plastic that’ll land in the form of a three-LP box-set available through his online store. It’ll be limited though so keep an eye on Joel’s Twitter for daily lols and when to drop those hard earned digital dollars.

Speaking with Vanity Fair the Mau5 shared insight into the rolling full-length; “I’ve done hip-hop tracks, glitch tracks, piano concertos, and dance hits,” adding “I think a large part of my fan base knows that, so this is for them. And if it’s not for them, then maybe I’ll attract some new fans who aren’t so EDM.”

It looks like the trolls have trolled the troller (say that five times fast) with enough users hitting the ‘mark as spam’ button on the listing for his nyan-cat-wrapped Ferrari with the listing eventually being taken down.
