Dozens Hospitalized During Avicii Show In Boston

Avicii and fans are currently rolling through the nation on a US tour. Literally though, the Swede’s fans seem to have made it a habit of raving in excess. We are seeing more reports of medical trouble as a result of TOO MUCH LEVELS.

Varying reports show that over 80 people were hospitalized or received EMS treatment after Avicii’s pit stop in  Boston last night.

According to Boston EMS Deputy Superintendent Mike Bosse, 36 people were taken to local hospitals and another 50 were treated on-site at the TD Bank Garden Arena.

Jacqueline Peterson, spokeswoman for Live Nation, said that early reports showed the majority of hospitalizations “were people outside the venue who were too impaired to be allowed inside.”

Fortunately there were no reported deaths and most visits and treatments were attributed to dehydration, intoxication or a combination of both.

After the show Swedish producer Tim Bergling expressed his condolences via twitter:

With only 25 reported hospitalizations during EDC Las Vegas and a 402,000 to 17,000 attendee ratio, it would seem the rare occurrence could be attributed to a combination of heat, venue and ‘better safe than sorry’ factors. Thoughts on any causes of the massive disparity in hospital visits?
