Cut Copy release whimsy new video and go Deluxe

Future disco proprietors Cut Copy continue to break the mould this week by announcing a Deluxe Edition of last years ‘Free Your Mind’ LP, expanding their monster tour and releasing a strange and eccentric video for ‘Meet Me in a House of Love’.

Pulling out five bonus tracks out of the bag to compliment the already bangin’ ‘Free Your Mind’ – CC are sharing two tracks to come out of the recording woodwork, ‘In These Arms of Love’ and ‘Like Any Other’ and three sparkly new originals, ‘Lights Shine On’, ‘I Wish the Sun Would Grow Today’ and ‘Believers’.

Band members agree that the deluxe version emerges from the untamed construction of the album;

“The process for making Free Your Mind was very open ended with all of us in the band letting musical ideas emerge rather than going in with a strong vision or style,” singer Dan Whitford told the press.

“So it was inevitable that some ideas – even some of our personal favourites – weren’t going to fit perfectly into the final track list once the album had begun to take shape.”

The LP will be available on July 22 via Loma Vista and Modular.

True to form, the video offering for ‘Meet Me in the House of Love’ is similarly untamed. Featuring the band members in cardboard cut out form being interviewed by an eccentric talk show host, the video is – dare we say it – so meta. And we like it.
