A Historical, Hour Long Daft Punk ‘Film Documentary’ Is In The Works

It looks like an hour long Daft Punk ‘Film Documentary’ is in the works according to Pitchfork who broke the news that BBC Worldwide Productions France would head up the towering task.

Production will also assisted by French TV Channel Canal+ as Variety notes (most likely due to archival footage) and will follow the meteoric rise of the iconic French electronic duo throughout their 20+ year history.

It’ll be written and directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre and co-written by Marina Rozenman who were commissioned on behalf of BBC to piece together the “first independent movie on the iconic group Daft Punk.” – exciting!

The news follows the release of the duos ‘Random Access Memories’ release with pals Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder and Pharrell Williams that led to an even greater global superstar status.

How will it compare to the pairs 2006 short film ‘Electroma’? We’ll have to wait until 2015 to find out!
