In celebrating ten years as a vanguard dancefloor and electronica imprint, Kode9’s Hyperdub has just released the first of four exclusive-crammed compilations over the next eight months in a release dubbed ‘Hyperdub 10.1’. Featuring the likes of DJ Rashad (RIP) and other members of the Teklife crew, Flowdan, Mala, Burial, Funkystepz, Terror Danjah, Mark Pritchard and many many more, the label has dubbed all 36 tracks its ‘dancefloor dimension’, and I could go through all the other killer cuts from the likes of DVA, Kyle Hall, Morgan Xarate, Quarta 330, and co, but surely by now you know to trust this label with your (listening) life if you’re into these sounds. From grime to footwork, funky to dubstep and beyond, anyone with an interest in bass music needs this compilation. 10/10.
