Hercules & Love Affair are back in a big way with this absolute ripper of a housey disco full length feature. The follow up to 2011’s ‘Blue Songs’, ‘The Feast Of The Broken Heart’ released via Moshi Moshi is filling that old-school authentic house void.

Boss man Andy Butler stated a couple of months ago that “I wanted nasty basslines, stormy, bleary-eyed sounds, fiery, rough, tough and ragged old school house productions that sounded almost techno. I didn’t want polite, I wanted aggressive.” There’s no doubting that they’ve nailed it. With acidy beats perfectly complemented by soulful vocals from the likes of Gustaph, Rouge Mary, Krystle Warren and Brit Award nominee John Grant, ‘The Feast Of The Broken Heart’ is popping from the get go, and doesn’t slacken off.
