Strawberry Fields Early Bird Tickets Sell Out In “Record Time”

Boutique electronic festival Strawberry Fields have kickstarted this years events with a bang having sold out early bird tickets in record time in just under an hour this morning, even before a lineup announce meaning this is one to pop into your doof diaries.

The Victorian music project that, over its five year history has looked to involve not only a world of beats but a smattering of arts and culture and will run from the 21st of November to the 23rd through the Australian heat with an initial lineup announce dotted for May 15th – the same day you’ll be able to pick up first round tickets.

Last years event saw international luminaries Carl Craig, Moodyman, KiNK and Tiga among others dosing peoples minds and spirits with a plethora of electronically crafted beats. Our reviewer for the three-day 4/4 marathon summed up the exploratory SF crowd succinctly;

Most importantly, the bullshit ‘eat-sleep-rave-repeat’ culture could not be found here. There were no roid heavy douchebags with sunglasses taped to their heads or hyperactive tweens posing for selfies. More importantly, there were no fights going down – or even any insinuations of angry or anti-social behaviour. The scariest thing that happened to me the whole weekend was being propositioned for a foursome by a guy wearing a dinosaur onsie in aforementioned ball pit. Even then, I was so chilled that I almost went for it…almost.

Still haven’t got those tingles? Peep some footage of some dusty and varied punters at last years festival including an interview with Tiga. Dude alert!
