Splendour Add Red Bull Music Academy Stage, Tons Of Local and International Talent

Splendour in the Grass have further added a contingent of local and international acts as they continue to strengthen ties with cultural identities Red Bull Music Academy who’ll once again spearhead their own stage across all three days.

Those that stray from the usual Splendour mainstays that’ll include Outkast, Chrome Sparks and Darkside will be met with a oozing slurp of Australian talent with Young Franco, Cassius Select, Roland Tings, Nicole Millar and our boy Sampology all dishing out a wealth of electronic delights. Surprisingly they’ll be an international flavour added with US reps Peanut Butter Wolf and NGUZUNGUZU both flying the red, white and blue on day one and three.

Red Bull Music Academy have long represented a divine light of discussion and cultural movement forward with the next edition calling Tokyo home. Previous years have seen Australia well represented with Ta-Ku, Phoebe Kiddo and more all included in the educational side of things.

More recently RBMA kicked off ‘beat:repeat” – a series that looks at beat machines and their place in seminal hits over the years with the last taking a fond look at “Juicy Fruit”, the backing beat for Notorious B.I.G’s biggest track “Juicy”.
