These boutique festivals should 100% be on your radar – should you be so fortunate enough to be traveling le’ globe this chilly-chilly Sydney winter, and NOT wanting to sweat it up with 500,000 other plebbs across the globe in a mosh pit.

1. Postiv Festival // July 5th (Bellegarde) // August 6th (Marseille)

Part two kind of shits on part one with headliners Disclosure, Flume, Cashmere Cat, Bondax, STWO and EFIX. 2. Electric Forest // June 26-29 (Rothbury, Michigan)

Electric Forest is not a festival, it’s a three day experience. It looks like the most magical place ever, and I can’t even begin to imagine how amazing the crowd will be. If you like Strawberry Fields, and consider yourself a somewhat spiritual being, then this is your happy place, your zen…. your truth #blessed. These are my top picks from the line up: Flying Lotus, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Cut Copy, Tycho, Classixx, Schoolboy Q, Anna Lunoe, Cashmere Cat, Chrome Sparks, Dusky, Isaac Tichauer, Kaytranda, Kygo, MK, Moon Boots, Perseus, RAC, Seven Lions and Thomas Jack…just to name a few*

3.  Above and Beyond #AGBT100 // October 18th (Madison Square Gardens)

If you don’t know what Push the Button is, or tune into # AGBT radio @ EST, please read on elsewhere….entirely. Above and Beyond’s 100 episode of their Group Therapy radio show, which has essentially become a relgion, and is celebrating it’s 100^th show, in North America.  Tony, Paavo and Jono (we’re on first name basis now, obvs), released this video in response to the amazing reaction to the now sold-out show. Twist every arm you know to shout you a spare ticket, pronto.

4.Pemberton Music Festival // July 18^th-20^th (Pemberton Valley)

 

The location for this festival overlooks the majestic Mount Currie near Whislter. Whistler, synonymous with Ski holidays, turnts it up this summer with a contemporary music lineup. It features everything from hip hop, EDM to indie folk. My picks from the 50-odd acts include: Deadmau5, Frank Ocean, Flying Lotus, XXYYXX, Griz, Shlomo, Above and Beyond and Kaytranada. 5. Pitch Festival // July 4^th and 5^th (Amsterdam)

Amster-DAYUMMM. Asmters has brought it this year with Pitch Festival. The cheap as chips festival (#reasonsIpreferEurope #mmmchips), will have your swag in check with the likes of Ryan Hemsworth, Tourist, Kelela, Banks, Sankehips, SBTRKT, Darkside and Little Dragon.

6. Pukkelpop // August 14-16 (Belgium)

This festival is THE perfect festival. Just big enough in size and integrity, and small enough in mainstream popularity. From Cashmere Cat to Cat Empire, you really need to read the line-up  to believe it.
