Peking Duk Confirm Worst Kept Secret On Collaborative Track

Over the weekend electro-bro’s Peking Duk confirmed with presenter The Doctor on national independent radio station Triple J one of the worst kept secrets within the Australian dance music industry.

During a little downtime in his hotel room Adam Hyde one half of the group, who missed an artist trip during the past weekends Groovin the Moo tour due to an untimely hangover told the Doctor about their work with Ben Woolner-Kirkham of dance-funk band SAFIA;

“… It’s called ‘Take Me Over’ and it’s a little song we made together and we can’t wait to drop it… hopefully like a month from now. We’re stoked with how well it’s been going on the road so we can’t wait to put it out there.”

We’ve been hearing about this track for a good while now so it’s exciting to know that a follow up to their crushingly great single “High” featuring vocalist Nicole Millar is on the way. It seems only to have been getting exclusively played live in Peking Duks sets so like most we’ll be waiting another month until it’s official release.

SAFIA will shortly be heading out on their own headline tour through May and June as presented by Stoney Roads, Spotify and The Harbour Agency. The band were also set to support New Zealand sultress Lorde before she had to push dates due to illness. Bummer.

In an interview with the band lead singer Ben teased the next single as a “… really nice blend of everything we’ve done so far, that being said it is still very different to the last two singles as well.” – we can’t wait!

For now watch the primal video fro “High” below.
