Live music mogul, founder and CEO of Insomniac promotions Events Pasquale Rotella has just brokered a deal with Interscope Records to launch Insomniac Records, an Interscope label dedicated solely to EDM. Rotella is the prime mover of EDM’s tidal rise, helming the most powerful events brand in the fastest-growing dance-music market in the world. That means more than a dozen festivals (Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest, Audiotistic, Bassrush, Nocturnal Wonderland, Beyond Wonderland, Escape from Wonderland, White Wonderland, etc.), nightclubs and various multimedia events bearing the Insomniac name. Safe to say the guys doing quite well for himself.

“We formed Insomniac Records because we saw the need for a label that fosters the unique talents of dance music artists (ahem, solely EDM artists) while also giving them a powerful platform to share their music with fans around the world,” said Rotella. “The Interscope team has an unparalleled track record (pun intended?) of success and I believe that with our combined efforts, Insomniac Records will launch the careers of undiscovered artists while also attracting established producers, allowing them to create music that the fans will love.”

It appears that the first artist to be signed to Insomniac Records is Russian DJ/producer, DJ Arty. He will release a full length album under the new label later this year.
