Sydney producer Guerre has shared the first haunting single “Deatheat” from his debut ‘Ex Nihilo’ due out on local legends Yes Please Records / Remote Control Records.

Down trodden beats, muddy patterns, a stirring vocal and what sounds like echoing steel drums make up a good haul of this four minute electronic cut that’s up for free download. You probably won’t be hearing much of this in your typical clubs but no doubt somewhere in a dark corner filtering under a strobe would the sounds of “Deatheat” will be heard.

Guerre represents the weirder side of Australian electronic but tracks the course of international sounds akin to Sampha or SBTRKT.
