On the 4th of April Dense & Pika graced Skream’s Radio 1 show with a typically dark tech inspired mix. The UK duo, of Scuba’s Hotflush imprint, deliver an array of deep business with the likes of 50 Weapons stalwart Truncate, Paul Woolford and one third of Hessle Audio’s founding fathers Pearson Sound (‘Power Drums’@25:00) featuring. When you combine those talents the results are unsurprisingly and evidently special.

The pair were kind enough to upload the thirty minute mix to their soundcloud yesterday as the BBC Radio 1 site has a limited shelf-life for each show. The whole half hour is bursting at the seems with vibes, however, special attention must be paid to their track ‘Colt’ [Hotflush], which comes in around the 12:20 mark, as the piano driven tech-house cut provokes the shoulder-rolling, shape-pulling moments – enjoy.
