Deadmau5 Reveals Album Name, Artwork and Release Date

Deadmau5 has surprised fans by sharing a number of details about his hotly anticipated full-length album release giving away more than a few morsels through his official web site.

His seventh studio LP will feature 25-tracks across two-discs with the album name ‘while (1<2)’ a play on cheeky programming code that translates to “loop indefinitely” – a claim we hope stands true!

The album will land a little later than expected as it usually is the case with such big albums (ahem Dillon Francis), with ‘while (1<2)’ set to land June 17th although fans can pre-order as soon as May 20th and get their hands on the first single “Avaritia” which was originally released as part of his ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ Soundcloud EP some months ago.

Delays may have been (jokingly) attributed to a recent beef with Arcade Fire, following through with that invite of crack-smoking Canadian mayor Rob Ford for a ride or still enjoying the piss-take at Ultra this year. Regardless, this looks to be one of the biggest releases since Daft Punks ‘Random Access Memories’.

Listen to ‘Avaritia’ below.
