Having not seen or heard from the Australian duo Bag Raiders for a while now it was a relief when they decided to upload an April ‘Club Mix’ to remind fans they hadn’t run away to an exotic island post the release of their sterling self-titled effort on Modular Records back in 2010.

This was actually the second dose of BG in as many weeks with their original “Shooting Stars” managing to top Hype Machines dinky charts a whole four years late (hint: check out Track Sift). Nothing wrong with that though, and neither their craftily sorted 18-track mix that although sadly doesn’t feature any secret ‘Raiders cuts does stitch together a hunk of deeper bass and more importantly (for us) a handful of Australian producers with the pair narrating on Soundcloud;

Both Kite String Trangle and Motez originals feature alongside cuts from Round Table Knights, Dusky and Disclosure signee Friend Within while remixes by Claptone, Mickey Moonlight and Cassian help keep the tempo up and shirts off.

We’re hoping this will be the direction of the new album with pleasant bpm’s, catchy melodies and a timeless nature. While we wait for Jack and Chris to tool away and finish that damn record take a bite out of the Bag Raiders April ‘Club Mix’ – woo!
