Norwegian pop artist Lido who has been making waves with a handful of remixes under the guise while also poising as Trippy Turtle has shared his shock at the removal by Universal Music Group of his brilliant remix of “Latch” by soon to be Australian tourers Disclosure. Even with the removal that proved to be “out of his hands” he was thankful for the support the remix had in a little over 24 hours including a play by Cashmere Cat in Brussels over the weekend.

French producer Canblaster added his 2c as he was equally shocked by the takedown and detriment the removal would have in the promotional roll out of the obviously trending remix and power Soundcloud actually has.

Following the surprise take down Lido did what not many are that willing to do, instead encouraging the sharing of the remix far and wide

Understandably Universal probably wanted to launch the remix at a later date and most possibly through Disclosures own Soundclound for effect but the results shown from the initial blast made it clear the upload ultimately didn’t harm anyone.

Lets see how this one pans out.
