Keep Ultra Music Festival In Miami

Dance giant Ultra Music Festival is under fire for a recent tragedy at their flagship event in downtown Miami. Since 1999 the event has drawn millions from across the globe to Miami Beach in early spring. As a critical turning point in most dance artists career, UMF Miami host one of the most comprehensive lineups in the world. Recent years have seen stages dedicated to underground genres, international brands, and the long running Carl Cox tent. All said and done UMF week is the number destination for dance.

Boosting the local economy over 200 million in 2013, the cash flow is real enough. As a US festival favorite, the tradition of Ultra sits deep within American dance fans. During this year’s festival gatecrashers took the life of a security guard on day 2. Despite a 20% security increase, desperate ravers trampled through fences while forcing into the event. Is this unfortunate loss enough to stop the global promoter?
