J. Tijn — Yearn / Innart / Nuke [Pennyroyal]

Following releases on Power Vacuum and Overlee Assembly, J. Tijn has just released a 3-tracker ‘Yearn’ / ‘Innart’ / ‘Nuke’ on the home of industrial strength fuckery, Untold’s Pennyroyal. According to the label, it’s an EP full of “weighty oh my god dat bass son can you feel it so hard so haad I think I just came up I never felt so lucid before it’s as if I’m being creeper massaged by the wet knuckles of every touch point of rave past present and future went out to buy a Dyson came back with a hoover double drop youth led techno revival we ensure true rave survival.” Fair enough. All three tunes are strictly pounders for the most prepared rave available – ‘Yearn’ stomps across the A-side with engorged kicks and strobing rave alarm synthline filtered at crucial moments; ‘Innart’ cog up the B-side with a grubbing, masticated acid assault beside the buzzing techno dub ‘Nuke’.
