Will this be booking agencies new best friend or an attempt to connect with the music community through a Beta version product?

A company called Gigwell has released a “Beta” ‘Productivity Suite’ designed for artist agency, the DJ/producer and the promoters all to use and is designed to organise everything from payment by the promoter to booking hotels, flights and more. The music industry stream lined software that is currently in private beta testing takes into account the three main roles for end-to-end workflow automation to essentially create faster transactions.

Taking a look at their website, it talks the talk. The current promotional video is cheesy and I’m unsure it looks serious enough for any experienced person to trust. With that being said, eight booking and management agencies, representing over 300 worldwide artists are working with the software at the moment.

Overall, we will have to wait and see if this idea will break through with the music industry or be something that people look at, sign up to and then shrug off.
