Verboten Solidifies Stance With a New Brooklyn Event Space

NYC promoter Verboten broke down the barriers with their next level events last year. 12 years in the making, these Brooklyn-based nightlife entrepreneurs have capitalized on the ‘forbidden’ fruit of underground techno. Hosting a variety of the year top events, Verboten’s moving party has appeared in unique locations around the New York boroughs. Hosting the globe’s most sought after techno producers, the promoters have accepted mainstream electronic event capacity while still keeping a gritty warehouse feel.

As to further pin NYC to the top of our favorite global club cities, Verboten’s next step is to launch a location of their own to host entrancing experiences. Seemingly tailored for the critical trends of Williamsburg, the 750 person capacity club will boast a unique menu of hand-crafted cocktails and of course… small plate meals. The former metal manufacturing warehouse sounds more like hipsters wet dream than a rave venue, but aesthetically everything looks great on paper.

“We’re excited to build a home for ourselves and our team; a multi-functional event space in Brooklyn designed for musicians & artists to fulfill their creative visions. We look forward to celebrating the unique wealth of talent that NYC has to offer for everyone who comes through our doors.” –Jen Schiffer & John Perez, Verboten Co-Founders

After the early 2013 opening of Output, Brooklyn’s dance culture has been on the global map for being too cool for you. Competing for bragging rights with iconic underground spots like Berghain, NYC seems to be heading in the right direction. The city that never sleeps surely leads the list as an active destination for year-round dance music activities.
