It’s been a while between drinks for the The Subs, your not so typical Belgium born, London based duo conceived on clever club music (cue " target="_blank">‘The Face of the Planet’ ) who were once arrested for driving mopeds into a mall and again when taking a little time out on Canberra’s baggage conveyor belt – a federal offence it turns out.

They’ve actually got a third album ‘Hologram’ due for release March 31st from our friends at ONELOVE following on from the globally revered 2008 release ‘Subculture’ and the more recent ‘Decontrol’ that earned accolades from an international cast and in turn remix rights to La Roux, Gotye, Sharam Jey and local legend Acid Jacks over the years.

Their latest, and possibly greatest looks to frog leap current trends and sub genres by creating a timeless story of 12 chapters, each an adventure with a different story teller be it Chicago born urban don Colonel Abrams, French actor Jean-Pierre Castaldi or female singer songwriter Jay Brown who features on five tracks from the album.

You’ve probably already heard and moved to the second single from album “Trapped” which is a ‘epic rendition of of the 1985 street-smart R&B hit by Colonel Abrahams’ with its bigger than life vocals and rolling melodies, a sure-fire anthem without even trying.

The album is refreshingly complete and will catch you for a full listen whether you like it or not!
