Stoney Roads Premiere: Roberto Clementi – BYP [Soma]

Having previously released music on labels like Steadfast, Unfoundsound, Monique Musique, Distric Raw, Undercut, Stolen Moments, Manual Music, Kompass Musik, Suara, Greel Pound, Sk Supreme and more, Italian producer Roberto Clementi is about to have his ‘Marble’ EP put out on regular Scottish home Soma Records, after the imprint released Harvey McKay’s ridiculously great ‘Foreshadow‘ EP earlier this month. Being an establishment synonymously releasing the finest in raw, underground techno, track number two off Clementi’s forthcoming ‘Marble’ is just that – an unrelenting, stripped back, almost Marcel Dettmann-esque piece of pulsing techno minimalism, and we’re stoked to have the first listen here at Stoney Roads. The EP will be out on Monday before he releases his debut record in May, but before that you can stream the analog-influenced sound of ‘BYP’ below. This is a serious piece of electronic music, not produced for the faint-hearted and will most likely be heard between the hours of 7-10am at German’s infamously raw Berghain. Huge sounds.
