Red Bull Music Academy Tokyo Wants You, Applications Open Now

Red Bull Music Academy Tokyo

Red Bull Music Academy have picked Tokyo as this years melting pot of electronic goodness following the success of last years event in New York City that saw lectures from Giorgio, Moroder, Brian Eno, Bok Bok, Todd Rundgren, Kim Gordon and LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy – now an annual thing in the big apple.

Australia was well represented last year with Perth beatmaker Ta-ku, Sofie Loizou, DJ Cubist and Phoebe Kiddo all in attendance and soaking up heavy amounts of priceless wisdom with this year a hop skip closer to home and probably a better chance of making the cut.

Up to 60 aspiring producers are encouraged to apply to the academy toted as “equal parts science lab, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and Kraftwerk’s home studio” before March 18th for the two fortnight-long terms kicking off Sunday October 12th that’ll run along to Friday November 14th.

Apply for Red Bull Music Academy here.
