Canadian bro Kaytranada can do no wrong, it’s been well over a year since I first heard his remix of Missy Elliot’s ‘Sock It 2 Me‘ and since then everything he’s touched has been pure gold. His remix of AlunaGeorge’s ‘Kaleidoscope Love‘ is nearing 1 million plays, his collaboration with Mr. Carmack ‘Ones‘ is one of the coolest tunes I’ve heard this year and his ‘Instrumental Hip Hop Is Dead‘ mixtape… well it’s safe to say I’ve listened to it a few times.

‘The Block’ can be found on the upcoming album from N.Y duo Mobb Deep and it’s really doing it for me. The beat isn’t over complicated but it’s packed with groove and the raps are real tidy too.
