Eelke Kleijn – A Tale Of Two Lovers [Eskimo]

Taken off the ‘Lovely Sweet Divine / A Tale of Two Lovers’ 12″ is Rotterdam-based Eelke Kleijn‘s latest release for famous Belgian label Eskimo Recordings. Having previously released tuna on labels like Lost & Found and Manual Music as well as hosting his own radio show on Outside The Box, the B-side to the 30-year-old’s latest EP has copped early support from The Aston Shuffle, Hernan Cattaneo, Jacques Renault, Kidnap Kid, Nick Warren, Damian Lazarus, Rub N Tug, diskJokke, Bottin, Coyote, Mixmag and more since its release last week. Being a melancholic-yet-inspiring 4/4 cut delving into the slower realms of deep house and nu disco, Eelke is on top of his game with the EP highlight cutting the first half into a hint at a restful and serene habitation while the second delving into a despair within an unknown land – through eerie Eastern vibes and fluid violins an explosion of excitement engages your mind. Sunrise hunters will love this one.

‘A Tale Of Two Lovers’ will also feature on ‘The Blue Collection‘; the second installment in a new compilation series on Eskimo based around colours. It’s the follow-up to last year’s lauded ‘The Pink Collection’.
