Australian DJ Jailed For Grooming 14 Year Old In the United Kingdom

Instead of opting for a little time behind the decks, Sydney DJ Lucius Lockyer, aged 41, instead spent months grooming a 14-year-old Glasgow teenager before travelling 10,000 miles to meet the British girl.

Mr Lockyer who played dancehall and reggae under the alias L-Static was booked up until June last year including a gig at Spice and who is probably more at home listening to prepubescent house, earned the girl’s trust over Skype before convincing her to pose nude and even upload explicit clips to the Internet, showing her how to do it anonymously to reduce the chances of being caught.

Upon arriving in London and notifying the girl he was ready to meet her, the Police moved in for an arrest after a tip-off in October last year and was sentenced to 10 months jail time. The scariest bit? He’s already out early due to strange lenient sentencing laws that allow any prison terms under four years to be freed halfway on good behaviour.

Last week the victim, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, explained how Mr Lockyer earned her trust:

‘lt started off innocently. The first few times he tried to talk to me I ignored him. He told me he was 33 and I didn’t see the harm in talking to him as he didn’t even live in the same country as me. He would tell me I was beautiful and clever and funny and we spoke every day. Then we started sending pictures and videos to each other. But over time he would ask me to do this or do that. He started encouraging me to upload pictures and videos of myself on to adult sites. He told me he was coming to see me. We started sending pictures and videos to each other. But over time he started encouraging me to upload pictures and videos of myself on to adult sites. He called me and said he was in London and he would come and see me the next day in Glasgow. It later came out what age he was and he was arrested.’

He will have to be registered for a sex offenders list but still poses an immediate risk to the community, especially if, or when, he returns back to Australia in the near future.
