Watch: James Murphy, Fly Lo, Ritchie Hawtin and more in A Film About Making Music by RBMA

In celebration of RBMA’s 15th anniversary and following the films premier in more than 60 cities across the globe, Red Bull Music Academy‘s stimulating full-length feature film What Difference Does it Make? A Film About Making Music is now available to stream and download for FREE.

Teaming up with award winning director Ralf Schmerberg and produced at the 2013 Red Bull Music Academy in New York, What Difference Does It Make focuses on the creative process behind music. Furthermore – both directly and indirectly – the film explores what it means to be a modern day musician; including the challenges that a life in music can bring, how artists look for the inspiration and the motivation to create, as well as ideas such as the rise of visual-based DJ performances.

Gaining a reputation for the high quality of their documentaries, RBMA’s What Difference Does It Make is both a compelling and inspiring watch as it seeks to go beyond music by asking questions about life itself. Evoking the true atmosphere of the academy – in which fresh musical ideas tend to spark between artists representing different genres and generations – the film features interviews from artists and icons such as James Murphy, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Ritchie Hawtin, Nile Rodgers, Flying Lotus, Brian Eno, Todd Edwards, Giorgia Moroder and many others.

All in all a great movie about music and all the aspects of music. Check it out below.
