What? A Daft Punk cover that’s not ‘Get Lucky’ – Owl Eyes (aka Brooke Addamo) is doin’ it right! She has gifted us with a smooth, smooth cover of ‘Something About Us’. Unlike the original which features heavy synths, hers is a stripped back version and the focus is all about her suave vocal prowess. There’s something about her, who would have thought she was such a crooner.

Back in October the man Motez made a delicious & deep remix of her track ‘Open Up’. It’s been described to “flow like thick liquid.” You can decide for yourself here.

Coming up next for Owl Eyes, she’ll be touring the US and reppin’ Australia in SXSW 2014, which proves she has a bright future ahead of her so keep watch! In the meantime take a look at this Melbourne beauty deliver her rendition of ‘Something About Us’.

Lets hope this encourages more artists to foray into the vast Daft Punk back catalogue.
