Listen to Neneh Cherry’s Four Tet-produced album in full

Produced entirely by Kieran Hebden (Four Tet), assisted by London brothers RocketNumberNine and collaborated by Robyn, Neneh Cherry is about to drop her first solo album ‘Blank Project’ in almost 16 years. Many will deem this a comeback album, but following 2012’s ‘The Cherry Thing’, it’s more like – as NPR said – the culmination of a fascinating career arc: it’s oddly skeletal and – dare we say it – lo-fi at times, but while it’s been in the pipeline for over three months, the record is now available to be heard in full before its release. Four Tet’s influence is as obvious as ever especially on LP highlight ‘Naked’, and despite some of the tunes being slightly tedious and mundane at times, it’s well worth a listen.

You can listen to the entire album over at NPR and hear the title track below – ‘Blank Project’ will be out February 24 on Smalltown Supersound.
