INPUT: Music Producers’ Conference by Liveschool, feat. Touch Sensitive + more.

Liveschool Input february

Liveschool’s regular music producer’s conference is back with a big lineup of guest speakers for their first event of 2014, happening 22nd February at FBi Social.

2013’s events included talks from Nathan McLay (Future Classic) on how to start and run a successful label, Chris Emerson (Emoh Instead / What So Not) detailing how to build a production career, Tim Shiel (of Gotye) uncovering the construction of the Gotye live show and many other.

This time around they’ve got the pizza guy himself, Michael Di Francesco (aka Touch Sensitive / Future Classic) and rising talent Oscar Key Sung (Oscar + Martin / GhostPoet) sharing their production tips and secrets, Thomas McAlister (of Alba / Canyons) demonstrating his signature sound design ideas and techniques and Michael Kucyk (Modular A&R honcho / Mushroom publishing guru) answering sticky industry questions, like ‘wtf exactly does a music publisher do? and why would i need one’.

These limited-capacity events connect the audience with Australia’s leading producers and music industry operators – as they open up on music production techniques, industry insights and career advice in both presentations and audience Q&As.

Tickets ($35) at the Liveschool website or Resident Advisor.

Wondering what to expect on the day? Liveschool recently released this video recording of Chris Emerson (What So Not) speaking at their conference in November, to say it’s essential viewing would be a gross understatement!
