Giorgio Moroder Goes From Working With Daft Punk to… David Guetta

Maybe he doesn’t know the stigma attached to working with a sell out commercial producer, but Giorgio Moroder is going from working with the legendary French duo Daft Punk on ‘Random Access Memories’ (who were weirdly imitated by the Russian Police Choir at the winter Olympics) to cutting some studio time with pop EDM commercial McDonald’s sensation David Guetta. Oh dear.

The collaboration is rumoured to be alongside a yet-to-be-revealed contemporary famous pop singer, but he did mention “I love Lady Gaga, Rihanna – all the pop girls like Katy Perry. I think Miley Cyrus is very talented too.” Load the cheese into the cannon, I think they’re gearing to set off a tween bangorrrrr.

“I cannot mention the name now because the contracts are not signed, but I’m going to work in the next few days with a very great singer. It’s one of my all-time favourite singers. In fact I started to work a little bit with David Guetta. So . . . do you know? It’s difficult to answer the rumours, but . . . maybe. Maybe. I don’t know.”

Who can blame the 73-year-old musician? After all, he’s done insanely well in regaining relevancy within modern day dance music and worked with the likes of Freddie Mercury and Donna Summer!
