Australian producer Yahtzel, who featured on our first free compilation ‘Stoney Roads – Volume One’ alongside Cosmo’s Midnight and Wave Racer, has learned very quickly about the catastrophic ‘thermal event’ that a Macbook laptop can face after requiring both Police and Fire services to safely contain and remove the device.

This isn’t your typical Wunderground piece but a random occurrence of an everyday item turning into your worst nightmare! An exert in Yahtzels own words;

Noticed my macbook started swelling over the last couple days, I call apple, they tell me to take it to my local computer shop to pull out the battery. Turns out MacBooks can produce a “thermal event” if the battery malfunctions, they didn’t even want the computer in their bins or shop, they told me to take it to the beach and cover it with sand as it was about to blow.
