Alien Alien are one of my favourite collaborative duos. Rodion and Hugo Sanchez have come together to create something dark, eerie and all the more beautiful. They turned heads in the international queer scene with ">Sambaca and pleased my ears with Monday (both of which you should listen to right now).

Now they are set to release their One by One EP on Meant Records, which features remixes by Rodion and and Red Axes. Already receiving support from Erol Alkan, The Hacker, Maceo Plex, Ivan Smagghe and Dubfire, to name a minuscule few, this EP is sure to send Alien Alien from obscurity to the attention of tastemakers, music fans and clubs alike. My pick of the EP is Rodion’s remix of the title track, One By One which is a track made for club play. It’s an “unsettling intergalactic” track with the power to set a 5am dancefloor into a trance.

Alien Alien’s One By One EP will be released on vinyl on February 20, with digital releases to follow on Beatport on March 3 and everywhere else on March 17.
