Swedish House Mafia Hit the Silverscreen

Leave The World Behind

One last tour obviously wasn’t then end of Swedish House Mafia’s impact on global dance. The big room trio is back this time on the silver screen. An upcoming feature film titled ‘Leave The World Behind’ is premiering at this year’s South By South West Festival in Texas.

The music documentary Leave The World Behind follows the group’s decision to part ways. On the road, a video crew followed the superstars in the midst of their record breaking One Last Tour which sold over 1 million tickets worldwide in a single week. Headlining the biggest stages across the globe it’s safe to say no stop was lacking in attendance.

Director Christian Larson captures the breath-taking live moments, laughs, dark lows, and a personal inside look at why one of the most successful EDM groups decided to take separate paths to save their friendship. At the risk of sounding sentimental living in airplanes with two other dudes doesn’t sound like the ideal long-term fix.

Dance hipsters love to hate on the trios commercial direction that without a doubt pushed the scene (at least in America) to new heights. The film will capture the sheer magnitude of the epic tour and go into the minds of the three as the tour finale comes to an end with ever-growing intensity. The three signed off with style to a massive crowd of Swe-libers at Ultra Music Festival. You know they did something right when Daft Punk was even in attendance.
