DJ Nicky Romero has today proved to the kids that fireworks ain’t all they’re cracked up to be, with a major fuck up going down during his set at Summerland, Cartegena, Colombia.

For Romero and punters alike, the frightening fireworks mistake saw a plethora of explosions veer off the trajectory of fantastical wonder and instead ricochet direct into the DJ booth and crowd, ahh shit.

Solidifying his place as the true professional (and hell, dreamboat as well), Romero finished his set like a champ, despite the majority of the crowd running for cover – trippers unite! He later tweeted that he was all good despite the close call:

Unfortunately some were not so lucky, with the crew taking out the major brunt of the injuries. Backstage workers suffered impact burns and rocket explosion injuries to the ear, yeowch.
