Zedd Gives a Helping Hand to Those Affected by Typhoon Haiyan

After capping off a massive Stereosonic tour and being nominated for a Grammy in the past week, Zedd has given something back to his fans in the Philippines. Not only was the entire profit of the Manilla show going to charity, but he also allocated 500 tickets to those who showed up to the event with a box full of canned foods.

Zedd made the announcements on his Facebook during the week. “Tickets for my Manila show are $80 – $170 but we’re donating 100% of the profit! I’m not taking a single dollar! Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) ravaged the central part of the Philippines, affecting an estimated 13.2 million people; 5.5 million of them are children. They urgently need access to safe water, hygiene supplies, food, shelter and a safe environment to recover. Please Join UNICEF in helping those affected.”

The result was outstanding with the following picture taken with Zedd and all the food that was donated. This act of compassion has truly set a great example of how the EDM community can give back to those in need. Hats off to Zedd and anyone else who was involved in this outstanding display of compassion.
