It’s no secret that I’m a huge dubstep fan, and most of my posts on here are from the depths of it. But once in a while I come across sounds from the other end of the 140bpm spectrum; sounds that don’t have weight, anger and energy, but peaceful melodies and beautiful soundscapes that make for a perfect relaxation tool. This is one of them; Killigrew‘s latest album ‘Animus’. There’s no denying this is dubstep, but the difference on this record is the array of instruments used – there’s obviously the piano, strings and keyboard, but also guitars and other non-dubstep-esque(?) sounds. It’s an absolutely beautiful LP, and making it available for free via his Bandcamp has made it that much more appealing. Listen below and click ‘download’ to score it for free.
