Hudson Mohawke and Lunice end TNGHT Collaboration

The symbolic quarter moon has lost it’s colour. It seems the international duo TNGHT – made up of Hudson Mohawke and Lunice – will be calling it quits after taking to social media yesterday and breaking the news in form of a video.

The two minute clip is a gloomy, off-putting video titled ‘Waning Moon’ which was uploaded to the LuckyMe Records Youtube channel, and shared via TNGHT’s Facebook page. The short video has caused quite a stir in the social media world, reeling in comments of sadness and anger from fans who seem to be quite shocked by this sudden split. Myself included.

Both Hud Mo and Lunice were recently included in the LuckyMe Christmas Advent calendar which featured new solo work from the pair, but – of course – nothing in terms of a collaboration.

So what are we left with? Unfortunately, we’re left with the aching words ‘Until we meet again’ which is a real pull on the heart strings for the huge following TNGHT had acquired during their time collaborating.

Check out the ‘Waning Moon’ video below, as well as a short mix of TNGHT’s huge self titled EP. Tis’ a sad day in the music world.
