Gold Digger? Kanye West sued over ‘Bound 2’ sample

Former child soul singer Ricky Spicer claims that Kanye West is “Bound 2” pay up for sampling his voice without permission.

It comes after the controversial tune hit headlines for depicting Kim Kardashian topless on a motorcycle, but this time it’s copping head-shakes because it clearly samples 1971 track ‘Bound’ by the Ponderosa Twins Plus One, and now lead singer Spicer has revealed that he never gave Kanye permission to do so. Spicer recorded the track and its familiar “fallin’ in love” refrain when he was 12 years old, and now aged 56, he was shocked to recognize his voice on the tune and subsequently filed a suit with Manhattan Supreme Court, proposing that Kanye compensate him for the usage or remove his voice entirely. Kanye was in the news back in September as well after punching a photographer – hah, douche.

Take a listen below to both tunes – you’re in shit this time Kanye!
