It comes with surprise that the Sydney based two day dance music festival FACT Weekender has been cancelled in what was meant to be it’s inaugural procession.

The festival that was the first of it’s kind was scribbled in the calendar to go down at Sydney’s Cockatoo island on the 1st and 2nd of Feb and have 50 of the best international and Australian DJs playing across three stages and an option to ‘glamp’ aka camp in style on site.

It’s not all bad news though with the event organisers going all Aaliyah on us (If first you don’t succeed, just sit yourself up and try again) stating that they will aim to put the yet to exist festy out in the summer of 2014/2015.

We hope they can pull the idea back together because the thought of partying on an island ‘all without actually having to go to the hassle of leaving Sydney’, sounds pretty cool!
