D/R/U/G/S — You Are Everywhere [Bad Life]

They first blessed us with their blend of rave-influence blissed-out electronica back in 2010, and now D/R/U/G/S are back with their ‘You Are Everywhere’ EP. Actually, the group has become only one member now with Callum Wright taking the solo reigns, but a guest vocal from Rebecca Rivers gives Wright’s floaty-before-sunrise electronics a lighter pop edge that suits this tune perfectly – after all, he’s been trying to perfect his sun-soaked house textures for years now. He’s worked with labels like Moshi Moshi and Different but for his newest offering D/R/U/G/S has settled on Bad Life. A very suitable choice too, with the rest of the release perfectly fitting in with their summer vibe: ‘Nightmachine’ takes a slight turn in the Italo disco direction, while ‘Lightmachine’ takes a lighter direction as its name would suggest.
