Cosmo’s Midnight, Wave Racer and more on Triple J’s 2014 Next Crop

Each year Australian music lovers Triple J release the Next Crop, a pretty accurate guide to australian artists that are worth keeping an eye on, and in case you hadn’t noticed, 2014 features a bunch of artists that we’ve been writing about from WAY BACK WHEN!

Previously shining a light on the home grown talents of Flume, Ta-Ku and Elizabeth Rose, this year Cosmo’s Midnight makes the cut, after getting many a party started with their EP Surge which dropped earlier this year featuring the eargasmic ‘The Dofflin”.

Wave Racer, aka Thomas Purcell, also takes position, which we guess comes as no surprise after he exploded into the australian dance scene with “Rock U Tonite” and having since spent time  touring nationally with Nina Las Vegas on her sold out House Party tour.

Both artists (who featured on Stoney Roads Volume One earlier this year) are joined by the ever eccentric stylings of Willow Beats who released their EP Alchemy in May, giving us refreshing tracks layered with dreamy synths and chopped up vocals.

Next year’s Next Crop shows there’s some promising stuff on the cards for the australian dance scene and OH BOY do we likey.
