Tiga Delivers Sterling FACT Mix – Listen Here

Tiga Rules

Dauntless Canadian techno producer Tiga has compiled and mixed the latest FACT mix with brilliant results urging an overbearing sense of nostalgia with its casual pace and craftily selected tracks. The mix was pieced together the old (modern) way with two CDJs without the laborious and at times perfect manner Ableton triggers as explained by the Turbo boss;

After some agonizing years torturing myself with the limitless possibilities of Ableton, I returned to the very comforting limits of some records and two CD players. I spent Halloween dancing in my studio, at a gig for one, and hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor

The tracklisting displays a host of obscure techno cuts with The Mole, Plastikman and Ben Klock muddled in with Aphex Twin and Actress while Gesaffelsteins “Nameless” and Tiga’s latest collaboration with Audion “Let’s Go Dancing” represent the more recent side of things. The outro really defines his character with The Velvet Undergrounds “I’ll Be Your Mirror” tying things up and proving once again he really doesn’t give a damn about a bang if there’s a more poetic way to do things.

Tiga will be in Australia before we know it for a stint at boutique electronic festival Strawberry Fields as well as two sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney, with the later party being held at the iconic Imperial Hotel in Erskineville presented by killer techno crew Motorik and funf.

Those hoping for a full-length anytime soon may have to wait a little longer with the Turbo boss sharing back in April that “… it’s started. I haven’t hit that critical mass yet, where I know exactly where it’s going. But I do have a bunch of songs written, and it’s going pretty well.” adding “There’s a target to have it finished in the (European) summer, and I’ve taken some time off touring in order to make that happen.”
