Having a taste-maker as big as Pete Tong list a track as an “Essential New Tune” is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly! Mia Dora picked up the ears of Tong and others with their “You In The Future EP.” A 2-tracker of mainly percussion-focused sounds, this EP seems aimed right up the alley of the tech-house circles.

“You In the Future” has a raw, minimal edge focused on percussion and little samples. It ticks along with great drums and a driving break that doesn’t lose the groove at all. “After the Dog” seems to be the more energetic of the two and gets quite a bit deeper. With a bit of a tribal drum line, the class is upped immensely with pure synth stabs and drum rolls that drop into a huge beat.
