Kele Of Bloc Party To Release Surprising Deep House EP on Crosstown Rebels

CRM_119_LabelA

Lead singer Kele of early 2000’s indie-dance band Bloc Party has followed up his debut solo work ‘The Boxer’ and “The Hunter” with a surprising release on typical house, deep house label Crosstown Rebels owned by legendary UK producer Damian Lazarus. The lead track “Heartbreaker” is worlds apart from his post-punk-electronic sounds back in 2010 and sounds awfully polished and natural within it’s new surrounds – so polished we’ve got our doubts about who’s hands actually created it, with not even Kele’s own vocals gracing the release.

Something you can’t doubt is his passion for music and more so now, house music;

I’ve always loved the inclusive and spiritual nature of house music, so the opportunity to make music for the most iconic and influential house music label in the UK is a dream come true for me.”

The release also features a remix we’re anticipating from Recondite (Amati), a German techno producer who literally just dropped his full-length ‘Hinterland’ through Ghostly International that you can stream over on FACT.

Check the tracklisting below and stream the lead single “Heartbreaker”.
