Back when he and Sinden were tighter than fat kids in spandex, he called himself The Count. Now, Hervé has just released his ‘Lion’ EP under his own title, rather than his other previous alter-egos of Voodoo Chilli, Action Man, Count of Monte Cristal, Dead Soul Brothers, The Things, The Young Lovers and more, churning out three jackin’ bass-influenced house tunes with a hint of the beloved UK funky. Out on Cheap Thrills, ‘Gorilla’ is a flawless example of Hervé’s impeccable productions of four-to-the-floor rhythms, while ‘Lion’ and the jackin’ jungle of ‘Be On Your Way’ are stellar reminders of Hervé’s unrivaled imagination.
