Bono, The Edge and Nile Rogers do ‘Get Lucky’ Live; Sunglasses stay on

In a move that has surprised no one, U2 frontman and sunglassed-mogul Bono, along with guitarist The Edge (so edgy) and Nile Rogers have done a cover of the Nile Rogers-Daft Punk collab (and grossly overplayed) ‘Get Lucky’ for a cause.

The performance was part of an event arranged by one of Bono’s charity funds, and raised a cruisEy £16 million (aka. fuckload of AU$) to combat the fight against AIDS. With the help of a plethora of soulful back up singers and that smooth bob of Roger’s head, it probably would have been an OK track were it not for dodgy video man ship – the ultimate issue of trying to fist-pump and film at the same time, effort.

Check out 2.02 for some serious vocal work  – if only it were from Bono, whom bops behind the sunnies and sounds like he’s doing some pretty bad karaoke, both vocally and physically. Serious sway.

The team also took on Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’ at the benefit, something we’re glad raised money but wouldn’t wanna see on video *tears*.

Check it out, y’all.
