Stream Booka Shades Full Album ‘Eve’ Now

After a leak-less wait stream the hotly anticipated full-length album ‘Eve’ from German electronic pioneers Booka Shade!

In short ‘Eve’ is a titillating slice of electronic mastery with 12 carefully constructed tracks built around “Love Inc”, the first single from the release that offered a hat-tip to one-time Chicago house don Lil Louis with a sample of his 1992 hit “Club Lonely”.

The rest of the album offers jazzy bits of piano, trombone by Groove Armada’s Andy Cato, characteristically ‘Shade percussion and even a vocal feature from house producer Fritz Kalkbrenner tying together “Crossing Borders”. You’d be hard pressed finding another release in 2013 that is so pleasing and at times experimental.

The band took up lodgings in Manchester in order to once again rediscover their roots that helped the pair originally curate and release their seminal 2006 album ‘Movements’ as told recent interview Rolling Stone;

“In order to create something exciting we needed to be somewhere exciting, so in search of inspiration we headed to the U.K. home of electronic music – Manchester – to record at a residential vintage recording studio. We recorded an electronic album in a traditional way, and it made us feel like a band again. It was like going back to the beginning.” – Arno
